chamber music with delicate classical arrangements.

As every year, I spent the Christmas holiday with my family at my parents‘ house. On the evening before Christmas Eve, which we have traditionally celebrated since childhood, I sat down at my old piano and started my recorder to tape some of my improvisations and the melodies I strummed. When I checked the records in my studio a few days later, I noticed the special sequence of notes and wrote it down. That part forms the main piano melody now. It’s extremely rare that an improvised 3/4 beat makes it into my DAW’s patterns.

Coastline documents the fast forward of a life cycle, from birth to death, and through its sound elements lets you know what stage of life you’re in during the different parts of the piece.
