„Mizuki’s Run – The soundtrack was produced to provide audiovisual support for the anime production of the short film “King’s Cult”.

The collaboration between the producer “Animation Studio Eight” and Kevin Meißner was triggered by a meeting in December 2023. The author and director Nouaki Hamazawa contacted Kevin Meißner and asked him for his support. The neoclassical felted piano sounds paired with the subtle strings and violins in Meißner’s music perfectly underscore the melancholy mood of the film.

The film has not yet been released and the release date has been postponed to fall 2025. Production work has been paused indefinitely. However, the soundtrack for the scene with the character Mizuki has been completed and is used in the last third of the film.“
